The Huntingdon Croquet Tournament and Garden Party

THE 24TH ANNUAL HUNTINGDON CROQUET TOURNAMENT AND GARDEN PARTY will be held on Saturday, 30 May at 4.00 PM.  Plan now to join in the fun, and bring your friends and neighbours to introduce to Saint John’s.  Victorian and Edwardian summer whites are encouraged!  Bring a dish to share; soft drinks will be provided.  Current champion Gene Sartori will defend his title against all comers!

The Annual Meeting: Next Sunday

THE ANNUAL MEETING of the Congregation will be held next Sunday, 17 May, following the 10.30 AM service.  Guild Leaders, please submit your reports as a Microsoft Word Document, ready to be printed, by noon, 14 May.  As usual, we will try to keep this business meeting brief, but it is important to have a quorum, so plan to attend.

The Feast of the Ascension: This Thursday

THE FEAST OF THE ASCENSION will be celebrated this Thursday, 14 May, at 6.30 PM.  This feast day is one of the seven great principal feasts of the Church Year.  Please plan to be here to join in the celebration and bring someone with you to introduce to our community.  Refreshments will be served following the service.

Volunteer for the Altar Guild!

THE ALTAR SOCIETY is in need of new recruits!  We have just a few dedicated volunteers who prepare for and cleanse after services, only one person to help with sewing, just a couple to work with flowers, and a small group to serve as acolytes.  Can you help in some capacity?  Please speak to the Rector if you can help.  Without sufficient volunteers, we cannot continue the kind of beautiful services which are the hallmark of our worship and a principal initial draw for new members.
