On Monday, 29 September, we celebrate the feast of the Holy Angels and begin a new season of worship and activity here at Saint John’s.  This feast is our annual ‘Homecoming” after the summer’s holidays and travel.  Please join us for a Choral Eucharist at 6.30 PM, followed by a welcome home reception in the Rector’s Garden

DID YOU KNOW that our Choir sang the principal Sunday service at Saint Thomas' Church, Fifth Avenue this past August 10?  You can hear the entire service, including our Choir's singing and a fine sermon, on the Saint Thomas website. Saint Mary Magdalene

THE FEAST OF SAINT MARY MAGDALENE is Tuesday, July 22.  We will celebrate with a Choral Eucharist at 6:30 PM followed by the cold drinks and hors d'oeuvres you are encouraged to bring to share.  This celebration is the second of our three summer evening festivals.  The final celebration is the Feast of Saint Mary the Virgin, August 15.  Plan ahead to be here, and keep up with each other during the Long Vac.  Father Kroh will be the celebrant and preacher for these services.

The Feast of Saints Peter and Paul

MONDAY, 30 JUNE, IS THE TRANSFERRED FEAST OF SAINTS PETER AND PAUL.  We will celebrate with a Choral Eucharist at 6:30 pm followed by a social hour.  Please bring cold drinks and hors d'oeuvres to share.  This celebration of the two great missionary saints and leaders of the early church is the first of our three summer evening festivals.  The others are the Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene, 22 July, and the Feast of Saint Mary the Virgin, 15 August.  Plan ahead to be at all three, and keep up with each other during the Long Vac.  (Bring a drink or cold hors d'oeuvre to share, if you can, but above all, COME!)  Fr. Kroh will be the celebrant and preachers for these services.

The Nativity of Saint John the Baptist

THE FEAST OF THE NATIVITY OF SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST is Tuesday, 24 June.  The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 8:00 am in the Lady Chapel.

Cody and Erin's Wedding!

PARISHIONERS CODY MILES AND ERIN MOTGOMERY will be wed in Alabama on Saturday, 28 June.  Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for this momentous and joyous occasion.  A Blessing of a Civil Marriage will take place here at Saint John's on 19 July at 4:00 pm.  The whole parish is invited to attend!

Deacon Conway

OUR FORMER PARISHIONER, NATALIE CONWAY, who was ordained to the Holy Diaconate just a little more than a year ago, has been appointed by Bishop Sutton and Archdeacon Charles Wilkerson to serve here at Saint John's beginning from mid-July, and at the Bishop's pleasure.  We are excited to welcome Natalie home, especially in her diaconal role.  There will be much for her to do in the months to come!
